Come Meet The Capoeira Master!

Introducing Mestre Pé de Chumbo of Bahia, Brazil
Master Pe de Chumbo started studying Capoeira Angola with Master Joao Grande, and then with Master Joao Pequeno, his current master.
Having trained under Master Joao Pequeno, he displays a very unique game of Capoeira, moving very close to the ground, and always aware of the opponent’s movements. He bases his game on the philosophy: “Capoeira is a game,  a toy,  to respect and to fear, it is also used to enhance courage…”
He was one of the first people to initiate Capoeira Angola in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 1988. In Sweden, 1993, he worked with children, refugee of war in Bosnia, teaching Capoeira Angola as academic therapy.
Through his effort and dedication, continuously honoring his master teaching, he is determined to keep and divulge worldwide the roots of Capoeira Angola. Mestre Pe de Chumbo is a much respected master of Capoeira Angola. He has several academies in Brazil, Mexico, and in different countries in Europe.  He opened the first ever academy of Capoeira Angola in Aveiro, Portugal. Recently, Mestre Pe de Chumbo launched an academy in Ashville, NC and he plans to open his next Capoeira academy here in Atlanta, GA.
